So you’re looking to tank floor 7? Probably because you are too broke to afford a Hyperion or a terminator? As someone who’s had a lot of experience playing tank on floor 7(I did over 1k runs before dropping a handle) I’m here to guide you! I have been trying to end this introduction in a non-awkward way for like 5 minutes and have given up and are going to be ending it like this!
Gear:
Clear:
Golden Necron Head
2/4 necron maxor boots with some DPS pet like zombie or tiger OR 2/4 maxor necron chestplate with some DPS pet like zombie or tiger OR ¾ frozen blaze + blaze pet, all preferably recombed and on ancient
Juju shortbow (decent soul eater + overload), recombed and on precise/rapid depending on what suits you better
Florid zombie sword
Spirit Leaps
Bonzo Staff (for bomb defuse)
Rabbit Hat (for 3 secret trap)
Silverfish pet (for 3 secret trap and for bomb defuse if you have eff 10)
Stonk
AOTE/AOTV
Superboom TNT
Ice Spray (optional but nice for minis)
Boss:
3/4 goldor, preferably recombed, Giant reforge
Legendary Blue Whale pet (shelmet as pet item)
Bonzo mask x2 (one fragged one unfragged)
Mender Fedora
Slime Hat (unless you cheat ig)
Jingle Bells
Soul Whip (Put syphon on it plz)
AOTS ONLY if you’re rev 8 and not fishing 26, as it also aggros but not quite as well as soul whip

This is a pretty budget setup for tank btw, I don’t recommend anything worse than this.
What to actually do in the run
Clear:
Just like… kill mobs and get secrets and do puzzles and trap if you run into them, tank doesn’t have anything specific to do in clear other than clear
If you need help with bomb defuse watch this
Boss:
Always be wearing ¾ goldor, the helmet will change a lot tho
Phase 1:
Wear slime hat. Place yourself near maxor. Once he begins moving, jingle bells and begin right clicking your soul whip at him, and walking towards the laser so he is standing inside of it. Keep him there until your team activates the laser
IF YOUR TEAM DOESN’T DPS MAXOR ON FIRST LASER
Get his health down to slightly beneath 3/4 as that amount of health is his damage cap(use seismic wave and attack him properly by using left and right click on soul whip ig). This way when crystals are done again, the archer can kill him in one shot without him ever frenzying!
IF YOUR TEAM DOES DPS MAXOR ON FIRST LASER
Maxor will frenzy, dealing a stupid amount of damage. If your cata is high enough you can run back and forth hitting him with your soul whip to survive based on syphon, then put him back into the laser when your team have activated it again If your cata isn’t high enough to do this, switch to a bonzo mask instead of slime hat. Once frenzy is over switch back to slime hat and place him into the laser when your team have activated it.
Phase 2:
Have fun vibin and killing the wither sentries for a little bit. If you need to, switch from slime hat to an unused bonzo mask. If you can tank them with a slime hat just keep doing that. Stand underneath green pillar when countdown appears. Switch back to slimehat if you switched off it. Use jingle bells and soul whip to keep storm interested once lightning is over, and lure him to stand beneath green pillar. Once your teammates crush him, move him over to yellow pad and do the same. Once Storm is dead, switch to your mender fedora. If a teammate has gone into p3 early, now is the time to spirit leap to them
Phase 3:
You can’t wither cloak during terminals like other people because their slight amount of damage they take will take 20% of your mana, causing your withercloak to last about half a second before you run entirely out of mana. The mender fedora should keep you alive, healing you every couple seconds for about the same damage lava does. If you need to(e.g. Stuck under a block), use charges on your florid zombie sword.
Some teams will want tank to do Simon Says in p1, some won’t. If nobody calls simon says, assume that you are on it. Other than that there are no tank specific terminals.
Use bonzo staff to get around fast here, and jerry-chine to move up walls to get some things (e.g. levers in p2 of terms)
If a terminal is skipped and goldor has passed it, and nobody else is doing it, use an unused bonzo mask to get through goldor to do the terminal.
At the end of a part of terminals, if the gate opens and you aren’t near it, leap to someone who is to ensure you don’t die to goldor.
Once all terminals are done go vibe in the chamber, stand at the back-ish and your archer should shred goldor.
Phase 4:
You can either:
- Stand next to one of the pillars, and aggro necron. He will keep hitting you there until he gets damaged enough by your team and goes to mid. Bonzo staff to mid/leap to someone who is at mid. Put a slime hat on
- Immediately bonzo staff to mid. Put on a slime hat the instant you get there to prevent necron from knocking you off.
Make sure to avoid standing in frenzy. From here you can pretty much just act pretty and let the damage classes take care of necron.
