Guide - The Complete Guide to f7 in Hypixel Skyblock (2024)

So you could say I’ve completed a few f7’s. Time to make a guide I guess.

Guide - The Complete Guide to f7 in Hypixel Skyblock (1)

Part 1: Things to Know Before You Enter

Chapter 1: Mods
For dungeons, there are only a few options for mods. You may have been able to get away without using mods up until this point, but they become almost necessary at the f7 level. The main features you want are puzzle/terminal solvers and if you need it, secret finders.

  1. Dankers Skyblock Mod: https://github.com/bowser0000/SkyblockMod
  2. Skytils:

https://github.com/Skytils/SkytilsMod

  1. DungeonsRoomsMod: https://github.com/Quantizr/DungeonRoomsMod
  2. Badlion Client:

https://client.badlion.net/download
(The only reason I recommend Badlion is because of a few reasons. First, if your computer runs on a potato, Badlion is the most friendly client. Second, you can play it on the newest version, unlike the other mods. Finally, it is really easy to set up while having most of the dungeons mods you’ll need for f7.)

To download any of these mods, I recommend watching HellCastle & Furry’s video on it:

Chapter 2: Gear
There is a wide variety of gear available to you for floor 7. Every class has an f7 progression for it. Because of this, it is very hard to recommend a certain setup. The very first thing you should do when you reach catacombs 24 is to buy a carry for f7. This costs anywhere from 3m-5m coins depending on the rates. You should do this because you get access to using any of the f7 drops. I’ll get into class specifics later, but I should probably start out with some basics.

  1. Talisman: I recommend anywhere from 50-60 talisman before even starting your f7 runs. Here is an example of an acceptable talisman bag from one of my friends:

Guide - The Complete Guide to f7 in Hypixel Skyblock (2)

(Keep in mind that you don’t need all the ones he has, just as long as you get around 50-60 you should be fine. This will cost around 20-30 million coins total.)

  1. Essentials: There are definitely several items you’ll want in your hotbar. First and foremost, having spirit leaps, superboom tnt, defuse kit, and a dungeon orb are very important to have on you at all times. Secondly, Having some healing items such as a Florid Zombie Sword or Mana Flux Power Orb can help you a lot in sticky situations. Finally, making sure to utilize an AoTE/AoTV, Stonk, and Rogue Sword will help you move around the dungeon quickly. Combined, all of these items will cost you <10m coins.
  2. Class Specifics: You will need different gear depending on what class you’ll play. This chart should help you wrap your head around what gear you should have.

Chapter 3: Team Composition
As you may know, certain classes are better than others. If you are trying to build the perfect team, then you should know about some of them.

  1. Archer: it’s a high damaging class that most people will want in their party. That saying, most people will kick if there is more than one, but dupe archers are better than playing bers and arch (only if you both use juju). Anyway, most parties will only have 1.
  2. Berserk: this class is objectively worse than archer, but can be useful if you’re using an AotS instead of a juju. Berserk is common in lower cata parties because Hype Mage (hypm) is so expensive. While Berserk can be a useful substitute, I wouldn’t recommend playing this class too often. Most parties will have 1-2 in lower cata parties.
  3. Healer: they get a bad rep because they aren’t meta, but having a healer may be necessary in lower cata parties. While I wouldn’t recommend playing healer, you should definitely try to find one for your party. At the very most, there will be 1 healer per party.
  4. Mage: this is by far the most useful class in f7 but also the most expensive. Most people will get kicked if they don’t have a hyperion as a mage, so I wouldn’t recommend playing this class unless you can afford it. There are many substitutes for hyperion such as LCM and Yeti Sword, and while some of these strategies are viable, they are nothing compared to a hype mage. To be honest, you’d be better off with a juju than a yeti sword. Mages become more abundant the higher the cata parties are. Most parties will have 1-2 of them but 3 or more is also viable.
  5. Tank: just like archer, this class is in high demand for every party, since it is required to have in your party. But, having more than one will be a hindrance to the party. This is by far the worst class to dupe, as playing healer is better than two tanks. Tank is the backbone of the team, and without one your party won’t be able to survive. Out of all the classes, this is the one I recommend the most since it is pretty inexpensive at first. Tanks are becoming less popular in high cata parties due to the takeover by mages and archers since they don’t need a tank to help them survive. Almost every party will have 1 tank.

Part 2: How to Kill Necron

Chapter 4: The Clear
When you enter the run, there are definitely some things you need to get used to. By this point, you should know that secrets are very important in getting a good score and you’ll need 100% completion to have a perfect explore score. Along with this, having at least 5 crypts is required to get an extra bonus score. If you haven’t memorized all the secrets, use a secret finder as a recommended way so that you aren’t constantly wasting precious time. You will know you have finished the run when all the checkmarks are green like this:

Guide - The Complete Guide to f7 in Hypixel Skyblock (3)

Yellow rooms, trap, and all of the brown rooms are pretty much the same as any other floor; the only difference being that the mobs have way more hit points. The only new puzzle in an f7 is defusal and the easiest way to complete this is to break through the walls with a stonk and use a bonzo staff to boost through them. Blood is pretty similar to any previous floor, except this time a giant from f6 spawns in along with all the other mobs. The best way to deal with them is to grab the tank to help. Once you get all the secrets, and every room is cleared, you can enter the boss fight.

Chapter 5: Phase 1

Guide - The Complete Guide to f7 in Hypixel Skyblock (4)

At the beginning of this phase, it is a good time to switch to your ehp pet and brace yourself for necron. The objective is to get the two crystals at the top of the pillars and bring them down to the sides, all while Necron is shooting wither skulls and the wither miners are killing you. The easiest way to complete this phase is for two people to use their jerry gun to boost themselves straight up the pillar. Another useful way to get the crystals is to climb the lava near the entrance and boost themselves with a bonzo staff across to the pillar. Both of these strategies work and will make this a breeze. Once your party has completed this, your goal is to bring Necron to the conveyor belt in the back and walk him into the laser. Then, do enough damage to send him downstairs.

Chapter 6: Phase 2

Guide - The Complete Guide to f7 in Hypixel Skyblock (5)

This is probably the hardest phase of the bossfight because you’ll need to crush Necron under the pillars. At the start of this phase, it is very dangerous because of all the wither skeletons at the bottom. By using a bonzo mask, you can successfully go to the purple pillar. Be very careful and stay close to your tank (tanks should use their ultimate ability when they reach the bottom to survive). Things are still very tricky since Necron will be following whoever is damaging him. Most likely, the tank will take aggro using jingle bells while the rest of the party clears all of the wither miners. Every once in a while, Necron will spawn in more wither miners so make sure to kill them as well. Remember, if your tank dies then the run is pretty much done. The next step is to go to the purple corner and by standing on the purple pad, you can lift the pillar. Only one or two people should go over there. Make sure to deal with the shadow assassin before lifting the pillar. The goal of this phase is to crush necron under the purple pillar (skilled tanks will up-crush Necron in a matter of seconds), and do enough damage to once cycle him. Make sure the tank stays back by the pillar so that they can walk necron under it when the person on the pad crushes it. When this happens, the whole party must work together to deal enough damage to Necron in order to send him down. If three juju’s are being used by dps classes, it should be enough to one cycle him. If you don’t deal enough damage, then Necron will get very mad and shoot a ton of skulls at your group. Run away from him until he calms down and repeat the last few steps at the green pillar. Once you deal enough damage, he will fly to the center of the room and drop everyone into the red pillar. Stand there and fall into the next phase.

Chapter 7: Phase 3

Guide - The Complete Guide to f7 in Hypixel Skyblock (6)

This phase will be tricky at first, but the more you do it the easier it gets. You will want as many people alive for this phase, since it is the hardest to do by yourself. When you drop into the phase, there are four subsections called terms, and each of them will have 7 or so different puzzles in order to advance. Skilled players will be able to get to different terms and finish them at the same time the others are being finished, but you don’t need to worry about doing that yet. As long as most of your party is alive, you should be able to complete these. Each term will have 4-5 puzzles, a device, and two levers. The device is unique to the term, but the puzzles are all pretty much the same. You can use the terminal solvers to get through all of the puzzles. The devices are a bit harder and may require multiple people to complete. Here is a quick overview.

Device 1: Simon Says
Watch this video to learn how to do it really fast:

Device 2: Lamps
Click the levers in order to light up the whole device. This is the easiest device.
Device 3: Arrows
Rotate the arrows in the item frame until they are facing the right direction. The lamp behind it will light up when it is facing the right way.
Device 4: Targets
Shoot all the targets in a certain order while standing on the pressure plate to finish.

Once you finish all of the puzzles in the term you can move on to the next. The reason so many people struggle with this phase is because Necron is slowly creeping up behind you, so you have to finish them in a certain amount of time. This makes things a lot more difficult since you need to finish all of the puzzles before Necron reaches them. If he passes the threshold of incomplete puzzles, the run is over. You can slow Necron down by using a bow on him so that he doesn’t pass the threshold as quickly. If you can get all the way to the end of the terminals, you may enter the last phase of the bossfight.

Chapter 8: Phase 4

Guide - The Complete Guide to f7 in Hypixel Skyblock (7)

You will drop into phase 4 for a final duel against Necron. He does a lot more damage during this phase than any other so be careful around him. By far the best strategy involves the tank sitting underneath one of the chains and letting the rest of the party damage him while he sits still. After dealing a certain amount of damage, Necron will go to the center of the room to use his most powerful attack, Nuclear Frenzy. If you aren’t actively damaging him while he uses this, he will engulf the whole room and the run ends. Usually, an archer will go to the middle and stand on the outside of the circle so that the rest of the team can leap to them. Once his health bar reaches 3.3m (0.3%), you have completed the run! Congratulations!

Part 3: Extra Info

Chapter 9: Perm Parties
Playing with people in monke finder isn’t the best way to do f7’s. They will become infinitely easier to do if you have a permanent party. Finding friends to play with or just generally good players may not be easy for you, but it will be worth it. The more and more runs you do will increase your odds of finding people you play well with. Here is a good video to watch if you are interested in finding a perm:

THE END!
I hope you learned something about floor 7, whether you have more completions than me or are just beginning to do them. If I missed anything, please feel free to tell me and I’ll add it.

TL;DR
Hype go brrrrrrrrrrr
