This book keeps you on your toes!

I LOVE this book! The first time I read this book I was in High School. I finished the book in two days. I was intrigued by the in depth description. This book describes passion and love-making! It's an excellent book for your adults or older. Not suitable for younger teenagers or children. My uncle owns a business in Mexico. The author, Laura Esquivel, is my uncle's customer. I've always wanted to meet her and compliment her on her artistic talent. This book combines the two things that get a man's heart: Cooking and lust!

I have always love this book.

I have seen the movie many times, and I wanted the book to get the recipes so I can learn to make so of the dishes that they ate. I didn't like the fact that thier were no pictures to go with each main part of the story. I bought it because of the recipes and because the part when every one ate the quail and rose petal dish , her sister Gertrudis began to feel heat, sweat, thinking about the Pancho Villa's men. That is the way I get when I visit my husband that is in a State Facility.

    Like Water for Chocolate

I bought it because I teach Spanish and am always looking for material I can include in class. I loved the down home folksy manner in which she writes. I love the home remedies and recipes. It was a fun read and amusing on several different levels.
