To those really in the know, there’s no doubt that this seaside fishing port has as much to offer as any other island location. One of the perks of San Antonio Town's small nature is that it's a beautiful place to just wander. Taking in the ever-changing scenery from long promenade stretches to bustling streets, you’d be surprised how you can get lost amongst the quaint cobbled side streets that hold the secret bars and tucked-away dining spots.

HIGH END

We'll start in the most appropriate way, with San Antonio's pride and joy. Set in a pretty finca with a shady garden, Es Tragón is Ibiza’s first winner of the coveted Michelin Star award, on top of the two Repsol Sol prizes it already possessed. Consistently high standards of service and exquisite preparation are what keep this outstanding dining experience in high demand. The Es Tragón taster menus are a journey through Ibizan history on a plate and an absolute must for holiday-making foodies.

Madunia, or Mother Earth, occupies a huge site on the hillside of Cap Negret, just outside San Antonio. Offering exquisite Mediterranean food with exotic touches, a splendid setting, and excellent service, it is a must for discerning diners as well as a great spot to start off your night with a pre-party co*cktail while admiring the sunset.

Chinese food never tasted so good as it does at sophisticated hotspot Chi Kee Wun, trust us on that! Light, imaginative and beyond delicious dishes, served in standout surroundings, this is exquisite high-end dining that's well worth the extra spend.

Under new management and, to everyone's joy, finally with air conditioning, Sa Capella is dining in possibly the finest of Ibiza's interior locations. Housed in an unconsecrated 16th-century church just outside San Antonio, you can dine within the stunning stone walls of this beautiful chapel, or feast outside on the picturesque terrace. A place to romance without a doubt.

Set in a stunning rustic interior, almost hidden away from the bright lights of San Antonio, Es Ventall is a family-run restaurant that wows with every dish. Its menu offers a 21st-century twist on traditional Ibizan cuisine, created by a young chef at the helm who loves to develop innovative dishes from the island’s rich culinary history - one that’s leaps and bounds above the rest.

MID-RANGE

It is a tough call as to whether it should go in the budget or mid-section.TapasIbiza does exactly as it says on the tin and very, very well. The tapas dishes are all so beautifully made and reasonably priced.So why stop at one when there’s a whole menu to try? They’ve even got the vegans well covered - trust us when we say the vegan aioli with gluten-free bread is one worth swapping sides for.

For 2024, the Tapas Ibiza team have opened a new venue, Aragma, in the heart of San Antonio. This contemporary Greek & Mediterranean tapas restaurant has delicious dishes just ideal for sharing and great views of the marina.

Further along the marina, you’ll findThe Skinny Kitchen. Serving healthy breakfast, brunch bowls, burgers and a whole heap of goodness from morning to night. For those who like a side order of naughtiness with their nutrition, the co*cktail menu is pretty fantastic too.

Towering imperiously over the harbour road, Villa Mercedes makes its presence known before you’ve even stepped inside. Set in beautifully landscaped gardens overlooking the boats in the marina, you can dine on exquisitelypresented Mediterranean dishes, as live music sets the tone of the romantic environment every Friday.

Continuing towards the little bay of Caló des Moro,Monkey Ibizafeels aptly named, gazing out over anexpansive sunset vista fromits high terrace views. Bringing Parisian sophistication to the Sunset Strip it's made its mark with its simple yet stunningly executed menu, great music and staff that are just lovely.

Behind the main sunset strip venues you'llfind another gem,Es Gerret. You could always visit alone but the ethos hereis to eat and share good times with friends. The generously-proportioned, modern tapas dishes are created with panacheand finesse, making this restaurant a continuously popular spot with locals and holidaymakers alike.

BUDGET

Back portside,Rita’s Cantina is a San An classic that, despite its unchanging menu, is often packed to the rafters with international guests. As the saying goes, ‘If it ain't broke, don’t fix it’ and although its menu offers mostly breakfast and Indonesian lunch options, it stays popular until nightfall.

Just a few steps away along the promenade, Eat Meis the spot for everything from burgers and wings to hot dogs, tacos and toasties. With plenty of veggie options as well as yummy milkshakes, it's your downtown pit stop for hangover cures, pre-party fuel and much more besides.

Fancy visiting another corner of the world? If so, then Mundo Street Food should be next on your travel list. With its mouth-watering twist on international cuisine, this newly established eatery has taken San Antonio by storm. Whatever you order from the menu - breakfast, lunch or dinner - just don’t forget a side of Massaman wedges. You can thank us later.

To the rear of San Antonio,you’ll find Kick Ibiza andFit Food, the health lovers', and gym-goers' dream. Their fully-stocked deli offers fresh salad and protein boxes to eat in or take away, along with a full menu of tasty tummy fillers, sweet treat protein snacks and fruit-packed smoothies.

For those craving authentic Italian pizza and shawarma then Es Mirai is your place. Close enough to - almost - catch the sunset at Caló des Moro, this excellent pizzeria has stunning garden dining, hosted by some of the nicest Italians in Ibiza.
