Andover - Nancy M. Powers (Elden), 61 of Andover, MA, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024 at her home after a 3 year courageous battle with ALS. Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Mark. Devoted Mother of Daniel M. Powers, Jennifer E. (Powers) Visconti and her husband, Devin, and Jillian M. Powers. Loving Grandmother of Emory J. Powers and soon to be born baby, Visconti. She is the daughter of Geraldine (Sullivan) Fuller and the late Raymond H. Elden, Sr. She will be deeply missed by her siblings Joyce Elden and her husband Dana Picard, Elizabeth and John Griffin, Kathryn and Robert Frongello, the late Raymond H. Elden Jr., Rayette Elden and Robert and Christine Elden. As well as in-laws Stephen Powers, Richard and Ruth Powers, John and Julie Powers, Gerard and Megan Powers, in addition to her many nieces and nephews. And family goldendoodle Forrest.Nancy cherished spending time with family and friends. She loved doing anything outdoors, going to the beach, hiking, cross country skiing or sitting by a fire. A passionate Boston sports fan, particularly Red Sox and Patriots. She was always listening to music from the time she rose each day. Nancy was an active member in Andover Youth Services and sports for many years, and she spearheaded endless Andover town programs and school events.A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine's Parish in Andover. Londonderry - Susan C. Elmore, 75, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at her home in Londonderry, NH.She was born Susan A. Cavanaugh on May 4, 1949, the daughter of the late James and Dorothy (Quinn) Cavanaugh.Susan grew up in Newtown, Connecticut and was the first in her family to go to college, graduating from Sacred Heart University as her class's valedictorian. She then entered the workforce at Travelers in Hartford, Connecticut, where she met Paul Elmore. Paul and Susan married on October 21, 1972, and remained married up until Paul's passing 45 years later in 2017.Susan lived a very full life, occupied by her professional work as an accountant, her family life as a wife and mother, and her various interests that included singing in the church choir at St. Matthew Parish, and tap dancing, which she enjoyed even into her 70s after two knee replacements! Even in her retirement years, Susan remained active with her grandchildren and as a member of her condo association's governing board. Susan brought her keen mind, her appreciation for attention to detail, and her caring heart to everything she did, and she was well-liked by those who worked, prayed, sang, or danced with her.Susan is survived by her daughter, Julie Elmore of Ayer, MA, and her son and daughter-in-law, John Elmore and Xiaohui Zeng-Elmore of Stratham, NH, whose two boys, Edward Elmore and Brian Elmore, were very fond of their grandmother. Susan is also survived by her brother, Robert Cavanaugh of Pittsford, VT, and a large extended family and circle of good friends.Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH. Boston - Brother Leonard F. Haley, SM, of Boston, died Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at Maristhill Nursing Home in Waltham. He was 84.Brother Leonard was born in Cambridge on July 11, 1939, a son of the late Leonard and Mary (McCullough) Haley, and was raised in Somerville. A year after graduating from Somerville High School he entered the Marist Novitiate in Staten Island, New York and received his first profession on December 8, 1959. His perpetual profession came four years later. He earned his bachelor's degree in religious studies at the University of Detroit.From there he embarked on a 60-year ministry with the Society of Mary. Fr. Leonard served the community in a variety of capacities as an administrator, pastoral and hospital ministries, and as a volunteer. He served at Notre Dame High School in Harper Woods, Michigan, Holy Name Parish in Detroit, Mount Carmel Parish in Methuen, Saint Anne Parish in Lawrence, Saint Joseph's Parish in Haverhill, Saint Lucy's Parish in Methuen and at the Marist homes in Framingham and in Boston. In retirement he continued his service to the Church and assisted at several area parishes including Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted in Waltham.Brother Leonard leaves his brother, Robert Haley (Diane) of Hudson, his nephew, niece, cousins and their families as well as his confreres in the Society of Mary Community.Family and friends will honor and remember Bro. Haverhill - Robert (Bob) Fedorchuk, 92, of Haverhill, MA passed away peacefully with his wife and two daughters at his side, on June 6, 2024 after a period of failing health.He was born on August 30, 1931, son of the late Felix and Helen (Cortese) Fedorchuk.After graduating from the Haverhill Trade School, Bob enlisted in the United States Air Force serving during the Korean War. He was stationed in Greenland, which he loved to talk about. After completion of his Air Force Service, Robert worked as an Auto Body Repairman for several different Auto Dealerships. He then continued his career as a Model Maker at Raytheon. Continuing his love of automobiles, he attended the General Motors Institute in Flint, MI where he trained to become an adjuster for General Motors. After working for General Motors for several years, he managed several Auto Dealerships in the New England Area. He obtained his Bachelor's Degree from Fitchburg State University, and then went on to spent over 30 years as a teacher and Administrator at Greater Lowell Regional Vocational Technical High School, in Tyngsboro, MA, until his retirement in 2005.In his earlier years he loved to travel to the Islands, with his wife, Marge by his side, always returning sporting a great tan. His love of automobiles remained, going on to restore a Model T car and of course helping out any and all of those in need of car repairs. He then became interested in model ship building, and of course, each and every piece was precisely placed. He proudly displayed several of the ships in his home.He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Butler) Fedorchuk (the love of his life) whom he was married to for 68 years, his two daughters and son in-laws, Cynthia and Jean-Guy Pinet and Sandra and Charles Hayes, all of Stratham, NH , two grandsons, Charles Hayes and fiancé Hannah Betit of Charlestown MA and Gregory Hayes and his wife, Colby, of Lincoln, RI, two great grandchildren, Hope and Brooks, his brother Richard Fedorchuk and his wife Joanne of Dracut, MA, nieces and nephews, Thomas Fedorchuk and his partner, Carol Myott of Laconia, NH, Linda Fedorchuk and her partner, Mark of Billerica, MA, Gary Fedorchuk and his wife Laureen of Wolfeboro, NH, Anne Depanfilis and her husband, Tony of Groveland, MA, and Susan Fedorchuk of Londonderry, NH. Robert was also predeceased by his nephew Mark Fedorchuk.He is also survived by his childhood friend, Chester Domoracki and his wife, Wanda of Sarasota, FL and their entire family. Chester was like a brother to Robert and their friendship was one that he cherished deeply.Visitation will be held on Monday, June 10, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Andover - Ernest J. Gulla of Andover, formerly of Melrose, passed away on June 2, 2024 at the High Pointe House Hospice in Haverhill surrounded by his loving family. Born July 1, 1937 in Cambridge, he was just a month shy of his 87th birthday.Mr. Gulla was the son of the late Patrick J. Gulla and Adeline M. Gulla of Melrose.He attended grammar school in Everett, and after the family moved to Melrose in 1951, he graduated from Melrose High School, Class of 1955. He then attended Worcester Academy for one year, moving on to Boston College, graduating in the Class of 1960 with a bachelor's degree in business administration.Mr. Gulla leaves behind his wife, Marilyn (Carr) Gulla; son, Paul Gulla and his wife Tracey Levy of Northampton and their children, Bodhi and Jayden; daughter Stephanie Soule and her husband, Walter of North Andover and their son, Amos; sister Marilyn Glover of Melrose; brother, Richard Gulla and his wife, Joy Camp of Melrose; sister-in-law Sylvia Gulla of Westerly, Rhode Island; sister-in-law Cynthia Carr of Andover; brother-in-law Dennis Carr and his wife Patricia of Reading; and many nieces and nephews. Londonderry - Francisco "Frank" Carrero, 76, of Londonderry, NH, passed away on Tuesday, June 4th, 2024, at the Elliot Hospital.Frank was born on March 1, 1948, to Inocencia Vega and Gregorio Carrero. He lived in Puerto Rico until the age of 12, when he moved to Florida. Francisco began working on various vegetable farms. Upon moving to New Hampshire in his early 20s, he began his career in the automotive industry. Frank spent twenty years working for 128 Mazda in Wakefield before working as a Lot Manager of a local dealership in Manchester.In his spare time, Frank enjoyed going for motorcycle rides. Litchfield, NH & Andover - Raymond E. Nolin, a resident of Litchfield, New Hampshire, formerly of Andover, MA and beloved husband of the late Barabara A. Nolin, passed away surrounded by his family at his home on Thursday, May 30, 2024. He was 88 years old and lived a good, long and happy life.Born in Dracut, MA, on September 29, 1935, he was the beloved son of the late Edward and Virginia (Dickson) Nolin. Mr. Nolin was an Air Force veteran and retired Eastern Airlines Captain who was an avid sports fan and especially loved all things Patriots, Red Sox and Celtics. He loved golf, reading, music and birdwatching and was visited regularly on his back porch by blue birds, finches and humming birds which gave him much joy...even the squirrels which were a comic relief. He also loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was much beloved by his family, by the local community of Canberra Village and by all who met him and who got to know him—even briefly.He will be dearly missed by all those who knew him. North Andover - Richard "Dick" G. Munroe, 91, of North Andover, MA, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024 after a period of declining health, one month shy of his 92nd birthday.Dick was born in 1932 and raised in Andover, MA. He graduated from Punchard High School in 1950. He met the love of his life, Jane, at Punchard; they wed in 1952. Dick served in the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1956. During the course of his service, he and Jane lived in St. Louis, MO; and Oakland, CA. Upon his discharge from the Air Force, Dick and Jane moved to Burlington, MA with their infant son Don. Dick received his associate's degree from the Bentley School of Accounting and Finance in 1952, his Bachelor of Science from Suffolk University in 1962, and his Master of Business Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1967. He worked for Carter's in Needham, MA before moving to Oakland, NJ in 1963 to work for Lever Brothers in New York City. He and his family returned to Andover in 1967, where he began working at Western Electric. He retired from Western Electric in 1990. He fully retired in 1997 after a brief stint at the IRS.Dick loved spending time with his family more than anything. He was also an avid golfer, having achieved three holes-in-one. He was a long-time member at White Cliffs Country Club in Plymouth, MA while living in a condo on the 15th hole after retirement. Once Jane retired and the couple moved to Sagamore Beach, Dick golfed at Sandwich Hollows Golf Club daily. When they moved to a house on the Merrimack Valley Golf Club in Methuen, MA in 2009, Dick was a member there until 2019 at age 87. He loved golf because it allowed him to spend time with his son, son-in-law, and grandson, and he made many lasting friendships on the golf course. Besides golf, Dick enjoyed gardening, bowling, playing horseshoes, playing cards (bridge, whist, and 45's) and playing pool. He was able to enjoy these activities at Edgewood LifeCare Community in North Andover, MA, where he and Jane moved in 2016.Besides his loving wife of 71 years, Jane, Dick will be dearly missed by his son, Donald, of Nashua, NH; his daughter, Nancy Corsaro, and her husband, Frank, of Methuen, MA; his grandsons Matthew and Michael Corsaro, of Methuen, MA; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Kathryn, brothers Allan and Gordon, niece Diane Lavoie and nephew Bob Munroe.

Andover - Roland A. Bibeau peacefully passed away June 3, 2024. He was born in Lawrence MA to Wilfrid and Aurore Bibeau and grew up in Sacred Heart Parish and the French-Canadian community. Roland graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1947. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He worked as a pressman for the Lowell Sun until his retirement. He loved his family very much and enjoyed keeping track of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.Roland was predeceased by his beloved wife Helena L. (Beaulieu) Bibeau in 1976. Methuen - Sandra Giles Perrault, 85, died peacefully at home in Methuen on March 27, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. A woman of incredible strength, resilience, warmth and intelligence, Sandra was accomplished in many areas of life, but was always modest in demeanor. Whether you called her Mom, Nana or Aunt Sandra, not a single birthday, anniversary or other important event passed without a card or note from her. She was the epitome of understated elegance, style and grace. Sandra was known for her thoughtfulness and small kindnesses. She was always thinking of others. Sandra Jean Giles was born at home in Methuen on July 9, 1938, the youngest child of Frank Stuart Giles and Dorothy Elizabeth (Moore) Giles. Sandra attended Methuen public schools, graduating from Tenney High School with the Class of 1955. Derry - Jerome "Jerry" Joseph Guerrin, 79, of Derry, NH, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024, at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH. He was born on April 26, 1945, in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Jerome and Edna (Lee) Guerrin. He graduated from St. Francis College, Brooklyn, NY. Jerry proudly served his country with the United States Army serving as a Military Police Officer in Korea during the Vietnam War. Upon his return home, he resumed working with the United States Custom Agency as a Special Agent Group Supervisor at SAC offices in NYC, Washington, D.C. and Boston. He was president of the New England Chapter of the Association of Former Customs & Homeland Security Special Agents. He will be missed by many and his stories will live on forever. Jerry was an active member of the Derry Salem Elks Lodge and participated in their pool leagues. He also enjoyed kayaking with Carol in NH, ME and eastern Long Island, NY and attending many Pan Am alumni conventions and functions. Salem - Thelma Ann "Terry" (Terrio) McGreevy, 86, of Salem, NH (formerly Methuen, MA) passed away peacefully early Monday morning, June 3, 2024, at High Pointe Hospice House of Haverhill.Terry was born in Boston on August 11, 1937 and was the daughter of the late Peter H. and Theresa (Creighton) Terrio.Terry was the beloved wife of the late George McGreevy. She is survived by her two of her three children and six grandchildren, who affectionately called her "Grammy". Her children are Sheilagh McGreevy Shiepe (husband, Theodore Jr.), Michael McGreevy, who recently predeceased his mother, and Erin McGreevy Sullivan, (Husband, Ted.). Her grandchildren are George, Aidan, Casey and Brendan Shiepe, Kaitlyn and Michael Sullivan.She was raised in Portland, Maine until the passing of her father, when she was seven. She then moved to the Plains section of Lawrence with her mother, and also lived in St. Augustine, FL. She was a graduate of Lawrence High School, Class of 1955. After high school, Terry first went to work for Liberty Mutual, and then Dr. Morton B. Green. She later met her husband, George, at the Austin Guild Bowling League and danced many nights away at Bob White's in North Andover. She and George married in 1963 and settled in West Methuen to raise their family. She was an active participant in the Marsh School PTA, taught CCD for St. Monica's Parish, and was a volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels, along with being a Girl Scout leader.She established her role as a stay-at-home mother until George passed away in 1984. After his death, she worked as a site manager for Rockingham County Meals on Wheels until her retirement. She also earned an Associate degree in Human Services in 1988, Summa Cum Laude, from Castle College. She most enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading voraciously, watching her favorite New England sports teams, vacationing at the beach, and doing crafts. She was an avid card maker and got so much joy from sending cards to friends and family. In today's terms, Terry was a maker. She was an accomplished seamstress, knitter, crocheter, and a beautiful folk art painter. Her hand-knitted sweaters were constantly requested as new baby gifts. During her retirement, she was also able to travel throughout Europe. She will be remembered for her kindness, wisdom, and her secret charitable giving. Terry will be missed dearly by her family, and lifelong friends.Visitation for relatives and friends will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, June 6, from 4:00pm-7:00pm. At 12 years old she met the love of her life, Baynard. And from then the two were inseparable, married and of course the rest of their story is well known. Leona's life centered around her family and home, she was an excellent cook and made every Jewish holiday a memorable gastric event. She loved gardening and in her later years became an accomplished artist. (Rogers) Martin, 87, widow of the late Jeno Martin, of Haverhill, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 5 at the Hannah Duston Healthcare Center.Born in Newburyport on April 20, 1937 she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Marcia (Knowlton) Rogers. She graduated from Newburyport High School and immediately followed her passion of becoming a nurse. She graduated from Melrose Wakefield Nursing School in 1958. Arline was the Director of Nursing for over 20 years for Whittier Health Network. She retired as director but was not ready to leave nursing and became a Case Manager until full retirement. She met many wonderful friends in the nursing field and stayed in touch with many of them.Arline loved to travel and enjoyed trips to Disney with her friend Joanne and as she would say, "one happy Island" of Aruba was her favorite destination. She loved the excitement and action at casinos and loved to play Keno. When she was not the life of the party, you could find her reading a good book or doing crafts like tole painting, cross stitch, knitting and crocheting. Arline was a woman of strong convictions, blessed with the ability and determination to get almost anything done. She was the driving force and guiding light for her family her entire life. She could not be sold on anything that didn't make sense, as she was driven by her common sense, character, and love of God to always steer the ship in the right directions.Arline had much love and dedication for her three children, seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Watertown - Chhoeunly "Chilly" Phoeung, 36, of Watertown & formerly of Methuen & Lawrence, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Portsmouth Regional Medical Center. He was the son of Sopaul Phoeung Chhath and Rachana Neang. Born in Lawrence, Chilly and his family later moved to Methuen & he was a graduate of Methuen High School, class of 2006. A born creative type, he later attended MassArt where he received a bachelor's degree in graphic design. He was a successful graphic designer, most recently working as the art director for Kenzie Academy. Following graduation, Chilly remained in the Merrimack Valley area where he met his partner, Ryan. In 2020, they relocated to Austin, TX, where they lived happily for four years. In February of this year, they decided to return to Massachusetts & settled in Watertown. Chilly was an avid traveler. In 2015, he and his family went to Cambodia, a trip where he caught the travel bug. Since then, he and Ryan have traveled to Mexico, St. Lucia, Portugal, and several cities across America. With an appreciation for a well-prepared meal, Chilly was not embarrassed to tell you that he wasn't a cook, but in fact a food critic. Ryan loved to learn new recipes and Chilly loved to try them. Always one to take care of everyone in his life around him, he also enjoyed self-care, with a particular focus on his nails and skin. Chilly was a popular creator on social media, showcasing his love of all things plant related. Designing his own tattoos was another great love of his and he decorated his body with many beautiful pieces. Music was very important in his life; his favorite performer was Beyoncé, who he was extremely happy to have seen live in Houston last summer. Chilly and Ryan had recently lost their beloved dog and best friend, Pepper. We hope that they are together now. Chilly's loved ones want him to be remembered as a gentle, kind-hearted, responsible, silly, sweet man who put family above everything else. She worked at various organizations, including Hamilton Law Offices, ADP and the Farnum Center. Most recently, she and her husband Jay owned Bowlful, a small restaurant in Manchester, NH.Lori and her husband Jay shared nearly 20 years of marriage and a deep love for one another. Together they created a blended family who came together to share family nights, celebrations big and small, and vacations. They enjoyed two decades of vacations to Wells Beach in Maine, Lori's happy place. Lori loved her children immensely, but her greatest joy was being a Gigi to her 6 grandchildren. Family was very important to her and guided her every decision. Terry is survived by his wife of 38 years, Melissa (McCabe), who was his college sweetheart; his children, Patrick (Katey), Christopher (Natasha), Brendan, and Ava; and his beloved grandchildren, Amelia, Andrew, and Vivian.He is predeceased by his parents, Francis and Constance of Salem, NH, and his cherished bird, Vinca. Despite living with prostate cancer for a decade, Terry was in excellent health until shortly before his passing. He attributed his good health and longevity to his healthcare providers at Massachusetts General Hospital, Richard Lee, MD, and Erika Meneely, CNP. His positive attitude was a beacon of light, inspiring those around him and showing that one can maintain a positive outlook even in the face of adversity.Terry's life was a testament to his unwavering dedication to his family, home, and work. He had a profound love for his work, finding fulfillment in being productive and contributing to the success of his business.Terry was an outstanding athlete. He excelled in swimming, football, basketball, baseball, and track and field in his youth. He was a three-sport high school athlete named to numerous all-star teams and inducted into the inaugural Austin Preparatory School Athletic Hall of Fame for football. At Bates College, he was the captain of the football team. On the field, he was an intense competitor. When he stepped off the field, he was a quiet leader, a dedicated friend, and a gentle soul.As an adult, he was an enthusiastic runner, completing many road races and marathons. He was disciplined about keeping fit, and his trips to the gym were a part of his daily regimen. He was also an ardent spectator of all sports. In particular, he loved watching the New England Patriots with family or friends. Watching his children engage and compete on the field was a source of immense pride for Terry. He was a keen observer and had a critical eye for the intricacies of sport.As a lifelong gardener, Terry grew vegetables each summer and loved sharing his bounty with family and friends. He also kept bees and chickens, so visitors to his home never left empty-handed, whether with honey, eggs, or his tasty kosher dill pickles.Terry Burke left a legacy of love and dedication that will be forever missed by all fortunate enough to know him. She had worked as an Inspector at Western Electric prior to her retirement. Claire was an attendant of St. Patrick's Church in Lawrence and prior to that she was a member of Sacred Hearts Church in Lawrence.Members of Claire's family include her husband George G. Betty was an animal lover, she enjoyed being outdoors and walking on the beach, and going to Florida. She liked to watch the Celtics and Patriots and loved spending time with family. She was the wife of Thaddeus "Ted" Minior, with whom she shared 41 wonderful years together.Born in Lawrence, MA, the daughter of Maria (Salerno) Bruzzese and the late Frank Bruzzese, Mary was a graduate of St. Mary's High School. Mary was a proud alumna of the last graduating class of Lowell Tech (UMass Lowell), continuing her education and receiving her Master's in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University. Mary had distinguished career in finance; working for Wang, Hewlitt Packard, and most notably over 25 years working at Kronos, where she retired from in 2018 as Senior Director of Finance.Outgoing and social by nature, Mary loved to surround herself with family and friends. With Ted by her side, Mary was a summer fixture along the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee for the last 33 years. The massive network of friends expanded in the last ten years, as Mary and Ted spent their winters in Myrtle Beach, where Mary filled her days with walks along the beach and a newfound love for golf. She was a constant source of comfort, wisdom, and laughter. Mary found joy in traveling the world with her husband and made friends everywhere she went. Above all, Mary loved her family more than anything else. Mary cherished Sunday dinners with her parents, siblings, and nephews. Byron Jr, 95, of Salem, NH and previously of Andover, MA. passed away on Wednesday, May 29th, 2024, at the Salemhaven Nursing Center.He was born on December 5, 1928, to Eugenia (Beaudet) and Alexander Byron Sr. Alexander was raised in Lawrence, MA, attended local schools and went on to attend Central Catholic High School, where he was the Quarterback for the football team as well as playing baseball. He graduated in 1947 and took courses at the Franklin Institute of Electronics. Alexander married the love of his life on July 3, 1949, and the couple raised their family in Lawrence, MA. He spent his career working as a Quality Control Analyst for Western Electric, now Lucent Technologies, until his retirement in 1986.Alexander was a life member and Range Officer of the Andover Sportsmen Club and the Lawrence Rod and Gun Club, where he had served as Club President. He had a love for sports, whether it was hunting, fishing, target practicing, football, or baseball and played as a catcher for the CYO baseball team and coached in the Methuen Little League for many years.He was very proud of his family, beginning with his father and his decorated service as a Captain in the United States Army Cavalry Division, displaying his father's medals on the walls of his home. He adored his wife, or as he often referred to her, his best friend. Alex cared for her in their home until 2018. Alex lived with his daughter Judy for the last few years, happily spending hours looking out the window, in the company of his beloved pets.Alexander is survived by his wife of almost 75 years, Shirley (Myers) Byron; his daughter, Judy LaBelle of Salem, NH; his son, Dennis Byron and his wife Marilyn of Atkinson, NH; two grandsons; and seven great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, Alexander was predeceased by his daughter, Patricia Byron in 2000.The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of SalemHaven, with special thanks to Dir. of Nursing, Carolyn, and nurses Colleen, Sam, Nilsa, Megan, Melissa, Tara, Linda and more. She attended schools in NYC, graduated from St. John's University with a degree in English and began working on Wall Street.She then met and married the love of her life and naval corpsman Dennis Brown. Together they traveled to Key West, FL, Methuen, MA, and eventually settled down in Bradford, MA, where they raised their three children.Joanna loved to read, cook and travel. Her breadth of knowledge and joy for learning was unstoppable, as was her faith, even in the toughest times.She was many things throughout her life: PTO parent, CCD catechist, substitute teacher, community activist, Sacred Heart food pantry volunteer, and ostomy support volunteer at Anna Jaques Hospital. However, more than anything she was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother.Joanna was predeceased by her beloved husband, Dennis Brown. Haverhill - Salvatore J. "Sal" Amari, 98, formerly of Haverhill, passed away on Wednesday, May 29 at the Lutheran Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Worcester.Sal was born in Utica, New York the son of Joseph and Lena (Durso) Amari. A veteran of WWII, Sal served 16 months overseas under command General George Patton Co. A, 330th Infantry Regiment, the battles of Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe. After the end of the War, he was assigned to the Army of Occupation in Germany before being discharged March 31, 1946. He had been drafted November 9, 1943 at age eighteen. Sal was employed for 26 years at the Boston Navy Yard as an Engineering Draftsman, retiring in 1974 when the facility was closed.A resident of the Mount Washington district of Haverhill for 78 years, he volunteered in neighborhood committees to promote improvement projects and in parish activities at St. Rita's Church until its closing. He was very active in the Italian community as the Historian of the Victor Emanuel Lodge, Order of the Sons of Italy. Many of his historical accounts are in the Special Collections section of the Haverhill Public Library. Sal has been the recipient of many awards and citations for his service to the Italian community. In an article by Gazette staff writer, Tom Vartabedian, on June 1, 1992 Sal was referred to as "Senior is Heartbeat of Italian Community".As a musician, Sal has been a member of the Lodge's Drum Corps as a drummer and instructor since 1948. Since 1965, he has been a drummer for Haverhill City Band and a member of the Haverhill Musician's Union, Local 302.Sal studied art in Boston, graduating from Scott Carbee School of Fine Arts and the School of Practical Art. He taught art classes at YWCA in 1950 and since 1997 as a substitute teacher in the Haverhill schools. He is a former member of the Greater Haverhill Art Association.Sal leaves behind his nephew, John A. Ranieri of Lancaster, MA, his brother Anthony J. Amari and his wife, Debra of Lakewood, New Mexico and a first cousin Peter Artale and his wife, Helga of Franklin, MA. He was predeceased by his sister Frances M. Hennessey, died peacefully Sunday, May 26, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family.Born in Everett, January 19, 1945, Frances is the daughter of the late John and Claire Crowley. After being raised and educated in Somerville and Malden, Frances attended and graduated from Cheverus Catholic High School in Malden (Sisters of Providence). She continued her education and worked herself through Emmanual College in Boston earning her Bachelor's Degree in Science/Biology. It was in these years she met and married her love, David. After working as a teacher of nursing students in the Boston area, she and David joined the Peace Corps and shortly thereafter began their new family. David's career brought them to relocate to Puerto Rico with their first three children. Prior to the birth of their fourth child they settled in Andover Massachusetts where Frances raised the children at home. Frances was committed to her faith and actively participated in pilgrimages to the Vatican in Rome, as well as supported many World Youth Days for her family. Frances and David had a love for the ocean; many summers were spent in Gloucester at Wingaersheek Beach where they had had their first "date", and they enjoyed family days and cook-outs in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Rockport, Salisbury, Hampton, NH and York, Maine. Methuen - Eugene W. Zabierek, 93, a longtime resident of Methuen, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2024 at High Point Hospice House.Eugene was predeceased by his wife, Bertha. Eugene and Bertha celebrated 65 years of marriage with two children. He was born in Dracut, MA on June 20, 1930 to the late Anthony and Aniela (Kaczmarczyk) Zabierek.Eugene was proud to have served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Upon his return, he began his 38-year career with Western Union Telegraph. After taking early retirement, he began his second career, for 25 years, as the Chief Grounds man at Holy Family Hospital.Eugene married Bertha on September 11, 1954 during hurricane Edna. Although the storm delayed the wedding for more than 10 hours, a determined groom made his way to his bride and they were married by candlelight. Eugene was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. When he was not spending time with his family, he could be found riding his John Deer tractor or working in his garden. He was a farmer at heart.Eugene was predeceased by his loving grandson, Aaron, who he fondly nicknamed Charlie. Groveland - Gloria Ann (Leger) Collins, peacefully passed away after a lengthy illness m on May 24, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.Gloria was born on August 5, 1941, to Adrien and Sarah Leger at Lynn Hospital. She attended Saint Jean the Baptist School and Church on Franklin Street. As a young teenager, she served as a candy striper at the same hospital. Gloria met and married,Thomas E. Collins, and together they raised six children - five daughters and one son.To support her family, Gloria engaged in various jobs such as laundry, ironing, hair styling, and babysitting from her home. She worked night shifts at multiple family-owned nursing homes thenShe worked 30 years at Dunkin Donuts in Lynn stores. She was a surrogate mother to many and a dedicated caregiver to her Uncle Frank for many years until his passing. Afterwards, she cared forVerda Ajousian until her passing. She volunteered at the Children's Gathering Day School in Wakefield, and provided companionship to friends and family during their final days on hospice. Gloria found joy in cooking, singing, country music, dancing, walking on the beach, boating, reading, shopping, and traveling.Known for her exceptional generosity, Gloria touched the lives of both family, friends and strangers alike. She was famous for her random acts of kindness. Gloria held her family dearly in her heart and She introduced herself to every new baby in our family, held in her arms singing. "You are my Sunshine...".Married for 58 years to her late husband, Thomas E. Collins, Gloria is survived by her children Reverend Donna Spencer Collins and her wife Audrey, Denise Ramsdell and her partner Paul Lehaie, Karen Kiersey, Janice Marie Noonan the late Kevin Noonan, Kat Collins, and Thomas E. Collins Jr and his partner Tina Marie.Gloria leaves behind a legacy of love and family. She is survived by 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.She is survived by her sister Janet (Leger, Palmer) Lesley of Missouri. Gloria is predeceased by her parents Adrien Leger and Sarah (Landry, Leger) Carson, her step father Ernest Carson, brother Bobby Leger, and sister Julie Cormier.She leaves her sister-in- law Patricia Flaherty of Wilmington, her brothers-in- law, John C. Collins and his wife Kathleen of New Hampshire and the Rev. James R. Collins of Rhode Island, her sister- in-law Catherine Collins of Georgia.She was predeceased by her brothers- in-law Henry Collins and George Collins and his wife Florence. Sister's in law, Elaine Collins CSJ and Janet M. Collins and her brother-in-law the late John Flaherty and niece Maureen Flaherty.Gloria leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins.We mourn the loss of Gloria Collins but celebrate the profound impact she had on our lives. Andover - Theresa L. Drouin, 80, passed away on May 18, 2024. She was born in Sanford, ME, on August 2, 1943, daughter of the late Adrien and Helen (Dawson) Drouin.She attended Amesbury High school and went on to Northern Essex Community College where she earned a business degree. She had worked at AT&T/Lucent for many years as a secretary until her retirement. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, and skiing. She most treasured spending time with family and friends and many summers at Mousam Lake in Maine. She will be sadly missed.Theresa is survived by her brother Raymond Drouin and her sister Sandy Drouin both of Amesbury, her godchildren James Brindle and Dale Rogers, and several cousins.Graveside services for Theresa will be held on her birthday, August 2, 2024 at 11:00 am in the St Ignatius Cemetery on Berwick Rd, in Sanford, Me. Pat was born in Lawrence, MA, on July 28, 1944, to the late James and Helen Carson. Pat was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kenneth F Graham. She leaves her daughter Kelly Reasons, husband Philip, son Michael Graham, and granddaughters Kendra Graham and Amanda Reasons. Her siblings Thomas and Michael Carson and Donna Toscano, several nieces, and nephews as well as several cousins. Also, dear friends Charles and Cheryl Guido and Patrick and Donna Potter. Bellingham - Rosemarie A. (Bourneuf) Demarais, 93, formerly of Haverhill, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 27 surrounded by family at her home in Bellingham, MA.Rose was born in Haverhill on July 6, 1930, to Ralph Bourneuf and Agnes Ambrose. Full of energy and always learning Rose worked as a Sales Representative for Ciba Giegy selling medical equipment, and retired from this company at the age of 70. True to herself, Rose worked at various other jobs, such as working at the desk at a dental office until she was 80. She never stopped moving forward and never stopped learning something new. Rose was an avid reader with a library of books including many on the history of the US as well as mysteries and crime novels. She was immensely proud of her French roots and read many books on the emigration of her family from France to Nova Scotia, finally settling in Haverhill. Growing up during the big band era, Rose was a lover of music and dancing. Her favorites include Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughn which brought her many years of joy.The family wishes to send thanks to the Tri Valley Elder Services, VNA & Hospice Center as well as Dana Farber Cancer Institute for their care and compassion as well as many neighbors who showed their love.Rosemarie is survived by her son Stephen A. Demarais, his wife Claire and daughter Madeleine of Queen Creek, AZ, and her daughter Dianne M. Demarais and her husband Thomas J. Nardone of Wrentham. She also leaves behind her sister Kathleen Connor and her husband John, and nephews Christopher, Matthew and Andrew; as well as many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Edward L. Jarvis Sr. She is survived by her children Edward "Ned" Jarvis Jr., Christine Dickinson and husband Mark, and Susan Benoit. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Ryan and Eric Jarvis, Margaret Nicoll and husband Ian, Sarah and Andrew Dickinson and Sheriden Benoit, as well as a great granddaughter, Charlotte Nicoll. (Hogan) MacMillan and as a child moved to Everett, MA with his family.Dr. MacMillan is predeceased by his loving wife Dorothy M. (Goodreau) who passed away in 2016 with whom he shared 64 wonderful years of Marriage.Dr. MacMillan is also survived by his eight children; daughters Donna Raciti and husband David of Salem NH, Susan MacMillan of Atkinson, NH, Lisa Mullen, and husband Shawn of Windham NH; sons, Thomas and wife Joy of Brentwood NH, Michael and Fiancé Francine Fazio of Fremont NH, Douglas and wife Lisa of Salem NH, Robert and wife Deborah of The Woodlands, TX, Philip and wife Donna of Haverhill MA. He also leaves behind his 20 grandchildren; Matthew, Kristina, Natalie, Kirwan, Cameron, Ian, Justin, Elise, Sara, Andrew, Colby, Lauren, Christopher, Timothy, Michelle, Stephanie, Kyle, Eric, Sadie, Conor and twenty-three great grandchildren.In addition to his beloved wife Dottie and their children, Dr. MacMillan is also survived by his brothers; Farrell and wife Kathleen of Charleston, SC, Frank and wife Nancy of Salem, NH and sisters; Mary Cassidy and late husband Frank of Burlington, MA and Margaret and late husband Paul also of Burlington, MA and by many nieces and nephews and a multitude of great nieces and nephews.Dr. MacMillan was educated in the Everett School System and graduated from Everett High School in 1945. He would immediately go on to serve our country in the United States Army at the age of 17. He was stationed in San Francisco until 1949 when he entered Boston College where he graduated with the class of 1952. He went on to Tufts School of Medicine graduating in 1956.Dr. MacMillan started his medical career in the US Army being stationed at Letterman Army Hospital, San Francisco, Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, TX; Tripler Army Hospital, Honolulu, HI and Martin Army Hospital, Columbus, GA. After leaving the US Army, Dr. MacMillan and his family settled in Haverhill, MA where he joined Dr. Albert B. Consentino in private practice in 1964. In 1966 Dr. MacMillan was a founding member of Pentucket Medical Associates located on Summer Street before moving to its present location at One Parkway in Haverhill with various satellite offices opened throughout the Merrimack Valley. He was a president of the Merrimack Valley Chapter of the American Heart Association. He was also a member of the Rotary Club of Haverhill and various physician organizations.During the course of his 50 plus year career in the Merrimack Valley, he was board certified in internal medicine, and practiced in cardiology, endocrinology and nuclear medicine. He was instrumental in getting the new Hale Hospital built on Lincoln Avenue in Haverhill and established the cutting edge Nuclear Medicine Department located within. He lovingly took care of multiple generations of families from Haverhill and surrounding communities. He was old school in his approach to treating the whole person and their concerned families.Kirwan was a history buff and a lifelong seeker of knowledge. He enjoyed Sailing, especially with his boys on his sailboat the Aeolus, as well as with his physician colleagues. He loved skiing, and spent countless winter seasons at Waterville Valley where each weekend would include being surrounded by his many children and grandchildren on the slopes. He loved travelling and stepped on every continent in the world, having travelled to Antarctica in his 80's. He was an avid student of the stock market. Above all else, he enjoyed spending time with his family, and being a devoted and loving husband, a guiding and caring father, and the best "Papa" a grandchild or great grandchild could ask for. Kirwan was a one of a kind personality, bigger than life, yet down to earth at the same time. He regaled friends and family with many interesting stories of his incredibly amazing life. He was equal parts stern and serious, warm and loving, and a loyal, steadfast and solid man from the greatest generation.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his calling hours on Friday May 31st, 2024 from 4PM to 7PM at the H.L. Salem - Robert R. Eichhorn Sr, 90, died from congestive heart failure May 22, 2024, at home surrounded by family. He was the son of Raymond and Andrea Eichhorn. Bob graduated from Searles High School, Class of 1952. Following graduation, he served as a Gunner's Mate in the U.S. Navy onboard USS Haynsworth DD 700, during the Korean War. After release from service, he went on to Dunwoody College of Culinary Arts before returning home to work with his father at the family bakery. In 1955, he married Carolyn Ward, and they settled in Salem NH where they raised their 5 sons. Bob was a member of the Derry-Salem Elks #2226, VFW Post 8546, and Salem-Pelham Fish and Game Club. He was also a Shriner and Master Mason. He loved fishing, hunting and making people laugh. Bob was predeceased by his parents, wife, Carolyn, sister, Madeline (Eichhorn) StLaurent, and daughter-in-law, Margaret Eichhorn.He is survived by his five sons, Robert Eichhorn Jr, Eric Eichhorn, Karl Eichhorn and his wife, Theresa, John Eichhorn, and Richard Eichhorn and his wife, Karen; his three grandchildren, Alicia (Eichhorn) Harrison, Kristopher Eichhorn, and Chrissy Eichhorn, in addition to 3 great grandchildren.There will be a private graveside service. After his time at General Electric, he joined Textron, as a President in Optoelectronics and General Manager at Babco Textron. He then started his own management consulting business, where he became President for General Dynamics, Sunbeam Corporation and Fairchild Fasteners. Before his retirement, he operated as Chief Operating Officer for the Insurance Technology Services of America and President at Consumer Insurance Services of America.In Bob's spare time, he thoroughly enjoyed to golf and ski, and was a member of the Georgetown Country Club.Bob is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Donna (Dussault) Robertson; his son Scott and his wife Debra Green of Newbury, MA; his grandchildren Paige, Jack, Ben, Kyle and Nick; his great-grandchild Addison; and his brother Dr. Donald Robertson. Salem - Jules "Jay" Bauters, 92, passed away on May 21, 2024 at Holy Family Hospital after a period of failing health. Jay grew up in Lawrence and was the son of the late Raymond Bauters and the late Argentine Mary (Gisquiere) Benson. Jay served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955 and worked for Western Electric/Lucent Technologies for many years. He took early retirement to care for his son John. Jay loved to dance and fish, and loved playing cards with his wife and their friends. He enjoyed daily breakfast at Sammy J's and he made many friends there as well. Jay is survived by his children, Susan Tisbert of Pelham, NH and Jay Bauters of Salem, NH; his sister, Nancy Ferguson and husband, Alan of Bridgewater, MA; his grandsons, Michael Fecteau of Pelham, NH and Matthew Tisbert of Maine; his six great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Jay lost the love of his life, Doris, in September of 2023 after almost 70 years of marriage. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and served on the Condominium Association Board where he lived and the Atkinson Planning Board for several years.He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his loving wife of 67 years, Joan (Winkler) Wolters, three sons, John M. Danvers - Beatrice Mary DiLavore, 87, of Danvers, MA, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024, after a courageous battle with breast and bone cancer, at Mass General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.She was born on July 7, 1936, and was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Martorano) DiLavore.Born in Lawrence, MA, and raised in Methuen, MA, Beatrice attended Lowell Teachers College and received her Masters of Education. She was an amazing educator and taught at Pleasant Valley School in Methuen and Hannah School in Beverly, MA. Beatrice was a kind-hearted, generous woman, she was a proud member on the board of trustees at Girdler House in Beverly, and a former member of Christ United Methodist Church in Lawrence. She enjoyed spending time at the beach and at her summer house in Rockport, and loved to spend time with her dog, Mini Loo. Beatrice loved to play tennis, golf, and garden, always tending to the flowers in her yard. She loved to be with her family and friends, everyone who knew her loved her.Beatrice will be dearly missed and is survived by her beloved siblings, Betty Waites and her husband Norman of Methuen, MA, Eleanor Patton and her husband Michael of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, and James P. DiLavore of Hampstead, NH. She is also survived by her best friend, Peg Devine and her loving niece and nephews, Noreen Guilmet, Kenneth Waites, Timothy Waites, and James T. DiLavore; as well as her great-nieces and great-nephews, Alyssa Guilmet, Zack Guilmet, James. E. DiLavore, and Joseph DiLavore. She enjoyed her childhood summers, met her future husband, and lived the last 35 years of her life on Cobbetts Pond.Beverly was raised in Wakefield, MA and graduated from Wakefield High School. After receiving her BS in Accounting from Bentley University, Beverly worked in accounting at Harvard University Press, Salem Building Supply and Donabedian Brothers. She and her husband later owned P.S. Meuse Construction followed by Island Pond Mobil in Derry, NH. Beverly made many friends while serving their loyal customer base. Her favorite vacation spots included Tortola Island in the British Virgin Islands and her family house in Placida, Florida.Beverly is survived by her loving husband Phillip S. Meuse; her sons, Curtis Meuse and his wife Nina Shumofsky of Rockville, MD, Derek Meuse and his wife, Pamela Curtis of Princeton, NJ, and Brett Meuse of Windham, NH; her grandchildren, Jack and Kate; her sister Marion Dinsmore and her husband, George; her brother Murdoch Mackenzie and Marilyn Allen; her sister-in-law Mary Jane Mackenzie. She had many cherished nieces and nephews. Despite her special needs, Donna led a full life, surrounded by many friends, a supportive and loving family and compassionate caregivers.Raised in Lawrence, Dona was a kind -hearted person who loved animals, Chrisitan music and Boston sports teams-her favorite was the Boston Red Sox. Donna loved to help out and anyone would tell you that they could count on her to pitch in every time. She spent many years active in various out each activities for the Salvation Army and was proud to share the gospel with anyone at any time. Her faith ran deep.Donna worked for the IRS for many years and following retirement, she spent time at Camp Wonderland, Easter Seals, and the Moore Center. Her family notes that Donna loved going to Camp Allan, a non-profit camp for adults with different abilities. Donna would make new friends each summer, take day trips to the beach, go out for ice cream and make hundreds of crafts. The care and support from the staff helped Donna be her best self.She adored her nieces and nephews and she always seemed to have a camera in her hands. The family will have a grand time sorting through the hundreds of photos accumulated over the years.Donna was predeceased by her loving parents, Harold and Marjorie, and her much beloved brother Scott. She and her twin sister, Sally (Welch), were born on Christmas Eve 1936 in Lawrence, MA, to the late Milton and Helen (Budd) Downs.She grew up in Salem, NH, and graduated from Woodbury High School in 1954. During her school years, Carol was president of the National Honor Society, editor of her school newspaper, and played both varsity basketball and field hockey. She attended UNH and Keene State College, where she graduated in 1959. She later received her Master's in Education Degree. Carol was a history, civics, and economics teacher and taught in both the Salem, NH, and Georgetown, MA, school systems. She left to raise a family, but later substituted for many years in the Boxford, MA public schools. In 1964 she married her beloved husband Stephen McNally with whom she celebrated 55 years of marriage. Together they raised 4 children and eight grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, planting flowers, her many pet cats, and she became known for her homemade cookies and blueberry muffins. She enjoyed summers at her cottage in Bridgton, Maine for the past 49 years.Carol was predeceased by her husband Steve, her twin sister Sally, her parents, and her grandson John Lynch. Everett, passed away on Thursday, May 9, from complications of heart failure.Beverly was a gentle, generous, and eminently practical New Englander who always had a kind word for everyone she met and kept her composure at all times, save for an occasional wry smile that could be spotted beneath the glint in her eye.Beverly was a lover of nature and enjoyed hiking and birdwatching. At home, she maintained feeders for the local bird population and filled her windowsills with plants. She loved opera and made numerous pilgrimages with friends to the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City to see her favorites.Beverly was an active, long-time member of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Reading. She had a particular interest in Buddhist philosophy and, with Henry, was a member of the Institute on Religion in the Age of Science, for many years attending their annual summer conference on Star Island in New Hampshire. She was also an active member of the International Association for Religious Freedom, with whom she traveled to India, Japan and Taiwan.Above all, Beverly was a loving wife and companion to Henry and a devoted stepmother to her adopted family. After Henry's passing, she helped keep the children and their families connected. She hosted an annual Christmas dinner, typically at the Colonial Inn in Concord, followed by a Yankee Swap, where gifts, often humorous, were opened and exchanged.Beverly was born on April 12, 1933, in Coventry, Ri., where she was raised. She attended the University of Rhode Island and worked for twenty-one years as a Research Technician in the Neurosurgical Department at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She and Henry were longtime residents of the Millpond community in North Andover. After his passing, she moved to Edgewood in North Andover, where she lived for the remainder of her life.Beverly is survived by her five stepchildren, Peter, Christopher, Elizabeth, Jonathan, and Michael, and her step-grandchildren Vivian, Carter, Cynthia, Ken, William, Alex, and Lily.A memorial service for Beverly will be held on Saturday, July 6, at 11 a.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 239 Woburn Street, Reading, MA. He graduated from Keith Academy as a member of the Class of 1952. He went on to receive his Bachelor's degree in Management from Northeastern University as a member of the ROTC program and served in the U.S. Army rising to the rank of Captain before his discharge in 1960.Bill was employed by a defense contractor as a manufacturing operations manager for many years until his retirement. He was a long- time member of Holy Angels Parish of Plaistow, and member of the parish choir. He served his parish as an usher and as a religious education instructor teaching Confirmation classes. He was a member of the St. Jude Council of the Knights of Columbus, Plaistow and a 4th degree member of Bishop Peterson Assembly.An avid Red Sox fan, Bill was devoted to his family and especially enjoyed holiday dinners and birthday celebrations. He also enjoyed playing Chess, Bowling, Playing 45's and caring for his beloved German Shepherds.Predeceased in 2018 by his beloved wife June, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two sons and a daughter-in-law, William E. Born in Springfield MA, on December 9th, 1935, he was the son of Theodore and Stella [Gawlik] Krzesowski. After proudly serving his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and earning a degree in electrical engineering at Boston's Wentworth Institute of Technology, Ted worked as a microwave engineer for Microwave Associates, Micro-Dynamics and Herley Industries for over 40 years in the Boston area. He was a life-long parishioner of the Congregational Church, including participation at the First Congregational Church of Indian Orchard, the North Reading Union Congregational Church and locally and the Hampstead Congregational Church.Ted is survived by his wife Paula Yolanda Guzman, sister Judith Krzesowski and her partner Aleksa, son Kenneth Krzesowski McLellan and his wife Kimberly, daughter Wendy Krzesowski, and grandchildren Sophie (21), Briar (19) and Charlotte (15). He is also survived by Emery Bjerkmann, the mother of his children.His outdoor interests were numerous and varied, and included sailing, kayaking, photography, volleyball, archeology and gardening. Ted was extremely creative, and mechanically gifted. During his 40-year residency in Hampstead, he was always fixing something for someone! After building two cottages in Maine earlier in his life, he later created many beautiful pieces of custom stained glass art from his home studio. Throughout his life, Ted had an intense, active interest in so many subjects. He kept his curiosity high, and stayed learning his entire life. Ted's heartfelt concern for the well-being of others was infectious - he made us want to be better, and do better. He will be so missed, and his thoughtful spirit will be carried on by all those that knew him. Ted and his wife Yolanda shared an inspirational bond of love and support for over 20 years, while tirelessly and unselfishly caring for others. Letoile, 90, a resident of Bedford since 1996, and a former resident of Hampstead, NH, and North Conway, NH, died peacefully on Saturday, January 27, 2024.Born in Haverhill, MA, he was the son of the late William and Kathryn (Ayer) Letoile, and was raised and educated in Hampstead. After graduating from High School in 1951., Mr. Letoile was drafted by the Saint Louis Cardinals and played as a pitcher in the 1951 and 1952 seasons. A veteran of the Korean Conflict, Mr. Letoile enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as a Specialist 3, until his honorable discharge in 1954.Following his discharge from the service, Mr. Letoile was employed by the family business, Wiiliam Letoile Roofing Company. He later established his own business, Letoile Construction Co. in North Conway and was a part owner of Black Mountain Ski Resort.A longtime member of the Hampstead Fire Department, he served as Fire Chief for seven years. He also volunteered his time as a coach for the Hampstead Little League and Babe Ruth League and maintained a life-long love of the game. In appreciation of his devotion to the town and the sport, the Hampstead Baseball Field was named in his honor. He was a member of the Hampstead Congregational Church and former member of the Hampstead Civic Club. Moving to North Conway in 1977, he was a member of the Kiwanis Club of North Conway.A devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he enjoyed skiing, baseball, furniture building and attending his grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's sporting events.Predeceased in March of 2023, by his high school sweetheart and wife of 64 years, Dorothy (Mansur) Letoile, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by three daughters, Lisa A. Nancy had worked as an electrical tester for both AT&T and Western Electric. She was an avid walker and was always seen walking around Tipton with her stand-up walker. She worked wonders with cross stitch making many gifts for her family and friends. Nancy always enjoyed traveling and made an exciting trip to Europe but by far her favorite place to visit was Alaska. She was also a voracious reader and would routinely devour at least 100 mystery novels each year.Survivors include her two children, Lyn Diamond and husband Harry of Tipton and Thomas Batchelder of Plaistow, New Hampshire; three grandchildren, Katherine Diamond, Benjamin Diamond and Brendon Batchelder and wife Tess Batchelder who is expecting Nancy's first great-granddaughter. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Joan Cole of Merrimac, Massachusetts. Nancy was preceded in death by her three siblings, Martin Cole, William Cole and wife Fern, and Dorothy Cole.A Graveside Committal Service for Nancy will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery, 96 Salem St., Bradford, MA, where she will be buried next to her husband, Arthur. HAVERHILL - Marie-Olive Jaqueline 'Jackie' (Roger) LeBlanc peacefully passed away at the age of 96 on May 14, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.Jackie was born to J.G. Alexandre Roger and Louisa (Descoteaux) Roger on December 21, 1927, in Haverhill, Massachusetts. She was the eldest remaining member of her two siblings, Eugene Roger and Yvonne Cote.Jackie grew up in Haverhill, graduated from Haverhill High School, and went on to graduate from Lawrence Academy of Beauty Culture. She married James (Jimmy) Louis LeBlanc and they went on to raise four children in Bradford. Summers were spent at Hampton Beach, NH where they ran their family landmark motel from 1964 to 1997 accommodating vacationers from Canada and across the country. Jackie was widowed in 1998 and subsequently moved to her family home until her passing.Those close to Jackie knew she was the anchor matriarch of the Family. She was a longtime member of the Sacred Heart Parish community. She lived a fulfilling life, inspiring all who knew her, and maintained a positive outlook grounded by her deep religious faith.She was a botanical enthusiast and avid Red Sox fan. She also enjoyed time spent in her senior bowling league where she excelled until the age of 91. She passed time playing card games and solving crossword puzzles. She loved visits from grandkids, phone calls from friends and family, and she never missed sending a birthday card.Jackie was predeceased by her son, Geoffrey, who was married to Marla (Marini) LeBlanc. She is survived by daughter Elizabeth Cote and her husband Glenn Cote of Salisbury, MA, son Stephen LeBlanc and wife Gina (Beatrice) LeBlanc of Haverhill, MA, and son Kenneth LeBlanc and his wife Danielle (Colby) LeBlanc of Hampton, NH. Seabrook - Shawn P. Graham, 59, of Seabrook, NH, passed away unexpectedly, on Friday, May 17th, 2024. He was born on December 27th, 1964, to D. Elaine (Petralia) and James Graham. Shawn was raised in Methuen, MA, attended local schools, and went on to earn his bachelor's degree in business marketing from Plymouth State University. Following graduation, Shawn began his career in Sales, which he loved and embraced to the fullest. He was born to be a salesman and could sell anyone, anything. Shawn married the love of his life, Pattiann (Dudley) on April 28th, 1991. The couple raised their family in Windham, NH before recently moving to Seabrook. Shawn put his heart and soul into whatever he did, whether it was work related or with his family. He was truly one of a kind. Often referred to as the "Social Director", he loved being around people. In his spare time, Shawn could often be found playing golf. He was an avid Boston sports team fan, holding season tickets to the Red Sox and Patriots. Shawn is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Pattiann Graham; his son, Joshua Graham and his fiancé Alexia Gorton of Goffstown, NH; his daughters, Emma Graham and Lily Graham of Seabrook, NH; his mother, Elaine Graham of Salem, NH; his brother, James Graham; his sister, Julie Anne Nelson; several nieces and nephews; as well as countless friends.He was predeceased by his father, James Graham.Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 23rd, from 3pm to 6pm, at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. Palmegiano: Emerita, Professor, Lawyer, Author, and Researcher, 85, of Haverhill, formerly of Newark, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Mary Immaculate Health/Care Services in Lawrence.Dr. Palmegiano was born to Eugene and Antoinette Palmegiano on March 9, 1939. She lived at 193 River St., Haverhill, MA for the first 11 years of life and attended Moody School in Haverhill.After her mother deceased when Jean was 11, her father moved them to Trenton, NJ. Upon arriving in Trenton, Jean entered Georgian Court Elementary from which she graduated to Georgian Court High School. Upon completion of high school, Jean matriculated into Georgian Court College where she earned a Bachelors and Masters degrees in history. Two years later, she earned a PHD in History from Rutgers University, plus a J.D. (law degree).Following her PHD, Dr. Palmegiano taught at Rutgers University for 3 years before being hired by St. Peter's College in Newark, NJ in the History Department until her retirement as a "professor emerita." Dr. Palmegiano is well known for her work in academia and as an author and scholarly researcher throughout the USA.In her academic life, she had written six books on Victorian English Life (some currently used in universities and colleges today as texts), one monograph and dozens of referred articles, book chapter, book review, and conference presentations were part of her endeavors. Jean was also known for coordinating many conference presentations.Due to her exemplary life's work, Dr. Palmegiano was the 2018 Kobre Award Winner by the American Journalism Historians Association. This award recognizes individuals with an exemplary record of sustained achievement in journalism history through teaching, research, professional activities, or other contributions to the field of journalism history.Dr. Palmegiano has served as AJHA president and twice been a member of the AJHA board of directors. During her first term on the AJHA Board in 1996, Dr. Palmegiano worked with the AJHA president Tom Heuterman to establish AJHA as an affiliate society of the American Historical Association.Since 2016, Dr. Palmegiano has funded the AJHA's annual prize for best history book. She also funds the AJHA's for the best research paper on international/transnational journalism history.This Sidney Kobre Award for Lifetime Achievement in Journalism History is the AJHA "highest award" awarded to a lifetime of work contributor, Dr. Palmegiano.Jean philanthropically donated large sums to programs aiding the poverty-stricken, academically deprived institutions and her favorite, UNICEF.Jean was also an avid world traveler. Often, she used her vacations as excuses to travel to a lot of less frequented parts of the world. For example, if there was political chaos or governmental civilian issues, you would probably find her visiting them at those turbulent times: Russia, China, Turkmenistan, Laos, Vietnam, South Africa, Brazil, Guatemala, Saudi Arabia, etc. She had both an American passport and an English passport which gave her a better feeling of personal security than just using her USA one.Jean also enjoyed the peaceful vacations on the various islands of the Caribbean where she relaxed and simply enjoyed their serenity. Jean also had an apartment in London to also relax and/or use as a research base for her English research.Dr. Palmegiano leaves her cousin, John A., and his wife, JoAnn M. Chester - Carl R. Citelli, 69, of Chester, NH, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 18, 2024. Born February 4, 1955, in Flushing Queens, NY, to the late Anthony and Angelina (Pinieri) Citelli. Carl grew up in Orange County, New York, until moving to NH in 1983 with his wife, Jan. Since then, they have made their home New Hampshire where they have raised their three children. Carl has been a resident of Chester, NH for the past three years, formerly living in Windham, NH.Carl has spent the last 43 years in the logistics business. Recently retired from NFI Logistics Americas as Vice President. Carl was the President of NEARS (North East Association of Rail Shippers) and served on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Derry, NH. He was also a member of the Rotary Club of Derry, NH, where he was recently awarded the Paul Harris Fellow. This award is the highest form of recognition that can be bestowed upon a Rotarian. This award is presented to a member who has made an outstanding contribution to the community. Anyone who knew Carl, knew what this award meant to him.You could always find Carl cooking and grilling his colorful meals, traveling with his wife, Jan, and spending time with his family and grandchildren, Joey and Maddie. Hobbies included landscaping and gardening, making his famous Limoncello, and stopping to talk to anyone with animals. Thursday nights were spent cooking for his close friends and enjoying their company with a good cigar. Carl is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Janet (Henwood) Citelli of Chester, NH; his three children, Kristen Lynn Citelli, Matthew Carl Citelli, Kimberly Brooke Liguori; and his son-in-law Nicholas Liguori; his two grandchildren, Joseph Nicholas and Madeline Reese; his brother, Alfred Citelli and his wife JoAnn Citelli; and nieces and numerous cousins.Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 23rd from 4:00–7:00 PM in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH. Andover - George J. Richards, resident of Barefoot Bay, FL passed away May 15, 2024, at VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach, Florida at the age of 99. George was born in Andover, on September 11,1924 to the late Alfred J. and Angeline (Bernard) Richards. George was a WWII Navy veteran and a Machinist at Raytheon for over 35 years. Growing up in Andover, George met Laura Early and started a family. They built their home in Andover as well as a camp in Maine where they spent many summers. After retiring from Raytheon in 1983, George and Laura moved to Barefoot Bay, Florida where they enjoyed socializing at localclubs, playing cards and bocce ball. George loved to tinker on anything mechanical as well as playing music. He loved his "squeezebox" and harmonica which he would play for family and friends. George was an avid fisherman enjoying his time on the water. A devoted family man, he lived a full life, always ready for a cold beer and good conversation. George is survived by his son Steve Richards of New Hampshire and his siblings Ella Riley, Lorraine Kenney of Massachusetts and Wayne Richards of Arizona. Grandchildren Kerry Aubertine, Melissa Yeo, Shane Demers of New Hampshire, Gary Richards and Vicki Richards of Maine, great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild along with many nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by his wife Laura, his daughter Wendy E. Richards, sisters Anne Springer, Marguerite Keyes, Mildred Fairburn, brothers Wilfred "Joe" Richards, Francis Richards, Bill Richards, Harold Richards, and Barry Richards.Family and friends may call on Wednesday, May 29 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third St., North Andover, MA 01845.
