3 Deliciously Easy Keto Stir-Fry Sauce Recipes - Keto Summit (1)

Jump to Recipe

Stir-fries are one of the easiest dishes to make on a Keto diet…they’re fast to cook and delicious to eat.

The trick to speeding things up and to ensuring you have the most delicious dish is to use a great Keto stir-fry sauce.

Many store-bought stir-fry sauces contain sugar or other inflammatory non-Keto ingredients, so it’s better to go with a homemade recipe (especially since they’re so easy to make). Pick from the 3 Keto stir-fry sauces we have below (or pick another sauce we have on our Keto condiment recipes page).

Basic Ingredients For Keto Stir-Fry Sauces:

Tamari Soy Sauce or Coconut Aminos

Soy sauce is one of the basic ingredients of most Asian stir-fries. So it’s natural that this should be an important ingredient in a Keto stir-fry sauce.

Unfortunately, soy sauce is typically made from wheat these days, so to ensure your Keto diet is low inflammatory, use gluten-free tamari sauce instead. Or if you’d like to go soy-free, then use coconut aminos instead of tamari soy sauce.

What’s coconut aminos?

Coconut aminos taste very similar to soy sauce, but they’re not made from any form of soy, wheat, or other grains.

Instead, coconut aminos are made from the aged sap of coconut blossoms and salt. It’s the perfect condiment for those of us that care about what we put into our bodies.

Personally, I find coconut aminos to have a lighter flavor than soy sauce, so you might want to add in more than the recipe calls for.

Sesame Oil

Sesame is one of the oldest cultivated crops (1) and sesame oil has been used worldwide in cooking for millennia. It has a very distinct flavor and tastes great when combined with tamari soy sauce or coconut aminos.

While sesame oil has many of the same issues as other seed oils, you can often find cold-pressed versions that are healthier. Plus, we won’t be using sesame oil as our main cooking oil – it’s only used in very small amounts as a flavoring, (2)

Vinegar

A dash of vinegar can add a ton of flavor and help cut through the fats in your dish. Go with kinds of vinegar like apple cider vinegar (ACV) or white wine vinegar. They’re super versatile and easy to find, and some – like ACV – have health benefits of their own.

Garlic

Garlic is a great flavor enhancer for many dishes. And Asian food often uses garlic to flavor them. You can use fresh garlic or dried garlic (in powdered or chopped forms) to add into your Keto stir-fry sauce.
